Lindsey Hamilton

Lindsey has been student advisor for the Presidential Scholarship Initiative since Fall 2023, where she supports scholarship recipients in their academic, personal, and professional growth while keeping the program running smoothly. As a first-gen college graduate, Lindsey is deeply passionate about helping students chart their own paths, overcome barriers, and reach their full potential.
A proud graduate of James Madison University with a B.S. in Biology, Lindsey is currently pursuing certification as a Life Coach through the International Coaching Federation. She’s especially passionate about teaching mind management techniques that empower students to navigate challenges—whether in the classroom, in their careers, or in life.
Lindsey’s career journey has taken her from the halls of the Central Intelligence Agency to serving as a U.S. diplomat in Austria with the U.S. Department of State, to working at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. She has also partnered with community-based nonprofits in Fairfax County and here in Blacksburg. Along the way, she has developed expertise in program and project management, government contracts, leadership, and personal development—always with a people-first approach.
Outside of work, you’ll often find Lindsey enjoying time with her family, catching up on Korean dramas, or perfecting a new homemade ice cream flavor (taste testers always welcome).
